Our bedroom was stunning. Breakfasts were very good. Most of the staff were very nice and helpful.
Did not consider the dinners what we would have expected in a four star hotel. We were not informed about Sunday carvery , turned up at 8pm to be told we were too late! We then sat in a function room to dine (dining room shut ) as the staff cleared away the carvery and all the hot plates etc right infront of our table. Not very relaxing ! We asked for some bread and got 4 triangles of ordinary white stuff, surely something more interesting could have been found. Our white wine left from the previous night arrived at room temperature having just been put in an ice bucket. A chicken caesar salad arrived minus the bacon , anchovies and parmesan shavings as stated on the menu. A poor show altogether for a dinner in a hotel of this calibre.
the location was central to a lot of the distilleries, the countryside & the sea.
The Hotel looked very grand with a lot of original features.
Hotel location was just off the main road but there was no road noise. Service was very good and food was excellent. Hotel was very busy on the night we stayed as there was a wedding in the hotel, so it made it verry difficult to get a table for dinner due to the number of wedding guests.
It was a comfortable, pleasant comfortable stay, lovely food and excellent service.
Had a problem with the shower did not run evenly, reported to the staff.
Extremely comfortable hotel offering good food with a very friendly & efficient staff.
Although not a problem for us the lack of a lift to the upper floor may be a handicap for some potential visitors.
It has lovely character. Is very relaxing, has beautiful grounds. Charming. We spent our wedding night there 25 years ago and returned to spend our Silver Wedding Anniversary there.
A more friendly welcome at reception would have been nice.
My eldest daughter choose the hotel on the internet. She fancied somewhere 'special' looking. The Ramnee is set off the road and has that 'special' feeling to it. Our family room was a twin room a double room with a bathroom between them. Therefore we had more space between us, which was nice.
Location for travelling between Inverness and Aberdeen/Peterhead. Staff are excellent and the food is well presented and tasty.
WiFi access in the room was slow...
I have often admired the hotel from the outside but this was the first time my wife and I were able to spend a weekend there. We have other accommodation during our 2 weeks' stay in July. Would happily return to the Ramnee. Last summer we were disappointed to learn that there was no New Year break available although the restaurant and cocktail bar are open at that time.
The manager was friendly and very efficient and could not have helped more. The room was sparkling and the bed was comfortable.I Would definitely stay again.
clean, nice interior etc
tastless morning coffe
Staff were lovely
Classic room very basic not worth the £120 price tag but if lower price very acceptable
Nice big room and great location
Paid extra for luxury room only to get two single beds pushed together big valley in the middle of the bed not comfy ;-( . Shower was hot but just a trickle of water. Wifi didn't work in our room . Not worth £110 per night
staff very attentive and hotel bedroom very clean. Good value.
Thought furnishings were a bit dated but would definately stay ther again.
